Drawing a cartoon...

...draws criticism

Cartoon of Mexican flag

showing the eagle in the Mexican flag dead in a pool of blood

is drawing criticism, according to a report by Rafael Romo for CNN.

Political cartoonist Daryl Cagle portrays the bullet-ridden national symbol of Mexico

with its emblematic eagle sprawled on its back, dead.

Cagle drew an obvious metaphors depicting over 28,000 people who have died in Mexico

after the country president

Felipe Calderón took office in 2006

declaring war on the multiple drug cartels

that have seized control of several states.

The coat of arms has this eagle placed on cactus consuming a reptile.
